From Boss to Coach – I came across this book from Michael Bungay Stanier, title ‘The Coaching Habit – Say less, Ask more & Change the Way you Lead forever.

The book is a very funny, easy and short read, with a focus on 7 practical questions that help turning conversations into stronger coaching moments.

I am a big fan of TEDx, some great presentations, learning and insights on that platform. A few I like in particular:

Simon Sinek has presented many times and for a long time as a very insightful ‘guru’, he is the person behind ‘start with why’. A more recent one, linked to how to deal with the effects of Covid, is ‘How to discover your “why” in difficult times. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFkCMeEhs0Y

Adam Leipzig in his Malibu TEDx talk about finding your life’s purpose in 5 minutes (!): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVsXO9brK7M

An important topic these days is Resilience. How do you keep going and stay positive if things don’t work out the way you planned, or you are overwhelmed? There is a good article on Mindtools about developing resilience. Three element are called out as essential: Challenge (how you look at difficulties), Commitment (to relationships, friendships, values), Control (focus on matters that you can influence).
